Nikita Bharati is a junior at Basha High School. Her interest in STEM sparked in 7th grade, when she first discovered a little organism called algae. Wanting to explore it more, she went on to research it and won multiple science fairs at the regional/state level. Now three years later, she still continues her research on algae and its potential to create a more sustainable future. She has gone on to compete at both the national and international level, winning multiple awards. When she's not conducting research, she enjoys teaching younger kids about science through a club at school called "Science is Fun." The members of this club go to different elementary schools around the state of Arizona, and teach 4th graders about different topics in STEM. She enjoyed teaching the youth about STEM, so she decided to co-found "Girl STEMpowerment" with her brother, Amitesh, so they could teach young girls about STEM, especially since they are underrepresented in those fields.

Amitesh Bharati is a freshman at Basha High School. Amitesh has a strong passion for STEM, especially in the field of technology and mathematics. He has competed at multiple math competitions and has been successful in many of them. He would notice that at many of these competitions, only 10-15% of the participants would be girls. Wanting to fix this issue, he got together with his older sister, Nikita, and helped co-found "Girl STEMpowerment", a platform which helps girls feel more involved in different parts of STEM. Amitesh is also an avid coder. He started coding at the age of 8, and he has coded multiple programs with languages he taught himself, some including JavaScript, Python, HTML, C#, etc. He utilizes his love for coding by participating in the coding club at school, as well as coding programs outside of school.
